Welcome to the Division of Human Development’s Website.  In these webpages you will find information about the people and work we do in the Division, including undergraduate and postgraduate studies.  The work of the division encompasses a huge range of subjects ranging from fertilisation and embryonic development, through fetal life into the newborn period and further into childhood.  Many of the areas we are studying carry implications for life as an adult.  This makes it a wonderful and exciting area for study.

The Division teaches undergraduates as part of the University of Nottingham Medical School, providing education and research opportunities in our constituent disciplines, with links to medical schools in Norway and Australia with whom we provide exchange opportunities for our part of the medical course.  We provide many openings for graduates through postgraduate courses and masters, doctoral and postdoctoral research opportunities.
